Spanien: Martino fordert mehr Einsatz für Entwicklungshilfe

Der Vorsitzende des Päpstlichen Rats für Gerechtigkeit und Frieden hat mehr Mittel für Entwicklungshilfe und internationale Kooperation gefordert. Kardinal Renato Raffaele Martino sagte am Freitag, dass dafür unter anderem die Budgets zur Aufstockung von Waffenarsenalen verwandt werden könnten. Hintergrund der Äußerungen Martinos war die Initiative gegen den Hunger in der Welt im spanischen Guadalajara, die bereits zum 50. Mal durchgeführt wird. Die Aktion hatte die katholische Nichtregierungsorganisation „Manos Unidas“ veranstaltet.
