Cardinal Alexandre Do Nascimento Launches Two Books

Two literary works entitled "Minhas imagens e aprendizagens" and "Livros de ritmos", authored by Cardinal Alexandre do Nascimento, was launched in Malanje province.

Angola Press Agency (Luanda, December 24, 2006) The book "Minhas imagens e aprendizagens", a prose, portrays his biography, has 151 pages with 3000 copies, while "Livros de ritmos", in its second edition, made of poems, is about the daily life of Malanje population, with 132 pages and 1,000 copies.

The books, published by Eal-edi+äes, are being sold at 1,000 Kwanzas (USD 1=80 Kwanzas).

Cardinal Alexandre do Nascimento was born in Mucasa municipality, Malanje province, in 1925 and was bishop of that region diocese from 1975 to 1977. He has published dozens of literary works such as "Escritos pastorais", "Caminho da Esperan+a", "Discursos e mensagens", "Anos dif¡ceis", "Homem sem f'" "Livros de ritmos, first edition " and "Retiro de Vaticano".
