English Cardinal Tettamanzi donates a cross with relics to the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Laura

Head of the biggest diocese of the Roman Catholic Church Archbishop of Milan cardinal Dionigi Tettamanzi donated a cross with relics of St. Ambrose of Milan and some other saints of the first century to the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Laura.

Sergiyev Posad, August 28, Interfax - The cardinal conveyed the shrine on Wednesday at his meeting with rector of the Moscow Theological Academy Archbishop Eugeny of Verea during his pilgrimage to Russia, the academy press service reports.

Secretary of the academic council Archpriest Pavel Velikanov, who also took part in the meeting, greeted the cardinal and noted that all Christians were facing the challenges of secular world.

"The world is waiting our witness to Christ - in the way it can perceive it," the priest stressed.
